Microsoft said to be buying Yammer

Microsoft is deep into the process of buying business social network provider Yammer, according to internal sources and conversations “overheard at the Creamery,” a cafe near Yammer’s office.
BusinessInsider broke the rumor an hour ago, and Bloomberg said two sources confirmed that there are acquisition talks. CNet is reporting as well, but notes that the chatter is far from confirmed.
The rumored price? About $1 billion … roughly double Yammer’s valuation as of its last funding round in February.

Paper continues to be a problem inside organisations. we just can’t seem to get rid it despite all these computers. And organising it is annoying. Doo.net hopes to solve the problem by organising documents with a cloud-based service.It’s now launched its public beta on OS X and announced a Series A round which takes the companies total funding to $10m. With its stock value sinking, Facebook is looking to restore�faith in its ad-based business model any way it can. It’s solution? A form of ad auctioning known as real-time bidding.
With the new system, dubbed “Facebook�Exchange”, advertisers will be able to display more targeted ads using the browsing�history�of�individual�Facebook users,�Bloomberg reports. While real-time bidding is new to Facebook, it’s already in use by companies like Google, Yahoo, and Aol.
